Sreesanth prepares for Twenty20

Kochi:

Away from all the action in England, India's pace spearhead Sreesanth is training for the Twenty-20 World Cup.

The cricketer, who plays with a lot of passion, says he has learnt to keep his emotions under check. The bowler is aiming to make a mark in South Africa and said he is sure this World Cup won't be a terrible outing.

"Even though Twenty-20 is a batsman oriented game, you can get a couple of breakthroughs with the new ball. Fast bowlers play a very important role. And if you can belt 10-15 runs off three-four balls with some sixes, it will be useful to the team. So I am focussing on that, plus fielding and agility," Sreesanth told NDTV.

In the absence of a good cricket ground in Kochi, Sreesanth has now moved to Chennai to train at the MRF Pace Foundation. Sreesanth says he won't do a war dance when he meets Andre Nel in South Africa. Those days are behind him, he says.

"I think I am much more mature now in the last six to seven months. No more dancing like that. I just enjoy playing cricket and I play with a lot of passion. But I will not cross the limit. That is what I did in the second Test," he said.

Rahul Dravid had said Sreesanth gave him quite a few grey hair in the second Test against England. The bowler admits he did receive a lot of advice from the seniors, which is why he was at his restrained best in the third Test.
