New Delhi:
Sreesanth, playing for Kings XI Punjab, has apparently strained his left side in the last league game against Rajasthan Royals at Mohali on May 28.
"MRI scans confirmed that he still has some effusion in the region," the Board of Control for Cricket in India said in a statement.
Sreesanth was scheduled to join the Indian team for the Bangladesh tour Saturday, but he has instead flew down to Bangalore to see the medical team at the National Cricket Academy for an assessment of his injury.
"As of now, he looks doubtful for the tour and a final decision on his availability will be decided after his medical check-up at the NCA," the statement said.
Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan have already been ruled out of the tri-series owing to groin and ankle injuries.
Pakistan is the third team in the tri-series besides India and hosts Bangladesh.
