Vadodara: Sri Lankan coach Tom Moody today said Captain Marvan Atapattu's decision to bat first did not pay dividends and the reverse could have probably helped the team. "Looking at the past records, teams batting first here have won but on the hindsight we should have done the reverse," Moody said after Lanka lost by five wickets in the seventh and final match. He warned the Lankans would be a different side when they come back recharged following a break to this country for a three-match Test series in December. "Despite the loss we will definitely bounce back when we come for the Tests. We have got a welcome break to recharge our batteries while India will be busy playing (against South Africa)," he said. Moody, who was on his first away assignment with the Islanders, praised Indian players as well as the tracks. (PTI)
