England bowler Ryan Sidebottom will miss the last four one-day internationals against South Africa because of groin and hip problems.

Nottingham, England:

England bowler Ryan Sidebottom will miss the last four one-day internationals against South Africa because of groin and hip problems.

The seamer was rested from England's fourth test victory over the Proteas at The Oval but still had to sit out his team's 20-run victory in Friday's opening one-day match.

The 30-year-old Sidebottom was ruled out of Tuesday's second ODI at Trent Bridge following a fitness test on Monday.

But his absence should not hinder England too much. Tim Bresnan had already been called up as cover, while Steve Harmison rescinded his retirement from one-day cricket to take two wickets at Headingley on Friday.
