Shastri appointed NCA chairman

Former India captain Ravi Shastri was on Friday appointed chairman of the National Cricket Academy.

Former India captain Ravi Shastri was on Friday appointed chairman of the National Cricket Academy
(NCA) at the BCCI Annual General Meeting.

Shastri takes over from Ajay Shirke, who was made acting chairman of the Bangalore-based Academy after Kapil Dev was sacked from the post for signing up with the rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL).
