London: Virender Sehwag may be moved down the order during the ICC Champion's Trophy in view of his poor form in the recent matches. Skipper Sourav Ganguly had indicated before the team left for the twin-tours of Holland and England that if Sehwag fails to deliver in the top order, the team would have to move him from the opener's slot. The Delhi opener had fared rather well in the previous season with a triple century in Pakistan. Recent slump However, his recent performances leave a lot to be desired. His recent score card from the last 14 games reads 26, 13, 26, 20, 0, 37, 16, 1, 81, 5, 17, dnb, 4 and 0. During the Asia Cup final at Sri Lanka last month, Sehwag needed only 46 runs more for his 3000 runs in one-day internationals. However, despite having played five more matches after that, he is still 20 runs short of the 3000 target.(PTI)
