Canberra:

Virender Sehwag, who opened the Indian innings in the third and final day of the practice match against ACT XI along with Dinesh Karthick, hit an explosive hundred.

Sehwag, who was not included in the playing XI for the first two Tests vs Australia has been struggling with his form for quite some time.

The Nawab of Najafgarh though seemed to have found his lost touch, bringing up a century in just 73 balls, a knock that included 18 fours and 2 sixes.

His innings will not just give him the confidence he has been lacking for a long time, but also make the team management breathe a sigh of relief, as it looks almost certain that Viru will get a look in for the 3rd Test on the bouncy Perth track. Sehwag finally fell for 113 off 78 balls.
