West Indies skipper, Carlos Brathwaite says he's very pleased with the attitude and passion shown by his team. Adds the way his team pulled it back after the first 5 overs was splendid. Mentions it was good to restrict Pakistan to 130 as at one stage they were looking good for 160. Lauds Evin Lewis for his phenomenal knock and also credits Jason Mohammed for the way he played with so much positivity on debut. Also adds that he wants his boys to do the same tomorrow. Credits his boys for the perfect game as they showed a lot of intensity and passion, especially towards the end of the innings with the ball. Thanks the fans for coming out and wants to give them something in return for their massive support.
Man of the Match, Evin Lewis says that he is really happy with his performance. Remembers that he got run out in the last two games and is pleased to contribute today. Adds that he stays positive and tries to give good start to the team. Also says that he is working hard on his game in the nets.
Pakistan skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed says he doesn't think they got a good total. Adds Babar Azam and Kamran Akmal played well but the rest of his team couldn't end well. States two of their set batsmen got out at the wrong time. Mentions it wasn't their day as Evin Lewis played a blinder of a knock. Ends by saying that they would like to come back hard and win the series in the final game.
That was a stroll in the park for the West Indies. Chasing a target of 138 on a slowish track, they lost Chadwick Walton cheaply but Evin Lewis rose to the occasion. He once again showed his hitting prowess as he plundered 91 runs off just 51 balls to single-handedly take West Indies home. It was a relatively low target and a couple of fifty stands were enough to scale it down. Pakistan were dismal with the ball and their fielding wasn't great either. Series now stands 2-1 and West Indies have given themselves a chance to draw level.
Shadab Khan to Lendl Simmons
FOUR! West Indies win by 7 wickets and 31 balls to spare! Flatter and shorter around off, 95 kph, Simmons gets back and forces it straight down the ground, beating mid on for a boundary. Handshakes all around and the crowd is celebrating.
Lendl Simmons walks into the middle next with the bat.
Shadab Khan to Evin Lewis
OUT! Lewis holes out but not before doing the damage. Just 4 more needed off 32 balls. Flighted full ball on middle, probably a googly, Lewis swings his bat hard and mistimes his shot down to long off. Wahab Riaz in the deep runs in a bit, nearly misjudges but then does well to catch it in the end. Smile on his face says it all.
Googly around off, Lewis taps it down to short third man.
SIX! Bang! Evin Lewis in this mood is very dangerous. Pakistan's neighbouring country India know it as the southpaw hit a quickfire century against them. Flatter and fuller on middle, Lewis clobbers it over cow corner for a maximum. This is now the highest score for a West Indies batsman in T20Is against Pakistan.
Shadab Khan to Jason Mohammed
Tossed up ball on middle, knocked down to long on for a run.
Shadab Khan to bowl again.
Sohail Tanvir to Evin Lewis
SIX! Lewis is in a hurry! Tanvir bowls a slower short ball on middle, 100 kph, Evin picks the variation in a trice, waits for it before pummeling it over fine leg for a biggie. 24 runs off the over, 11 needed off 36 balls.
Free Hit - Dot ball. Excellent delivery, very full and wide outside off, Lewis tries squeezing it out but fails in his attempt.
Free Hit coming up in the next delivery...
FOUR! Tanvir has lost his radar. Serves a high full toss outside off, Lewis latches onto it and whacks it over backward point for a boundary. Called a no ball for over the waist high full toss!
SIX! High and handsome! Tanvir angles in a full length ball on off, Lewis gets behind the line and hammers it over the bowler's head for another maximum in the over.
Bouncer, a slower one around off, Lewis picks it and decides not to play at it.
SIX! Wow, what a hit! Tanvir delivers it on a length, Lewis hangs back, fetches it from outside off and deposits it over wide long on for a maximum. Packed a punch, literally.
Sohail Tanvir to Jason Mohammed
Short and wide outside off, Mohammed slaps it through the line and the point fielder manages a partial stop. A single taken.
