Niroshan Dickwella Wk | 18 | 26 | 2 | 0 | 69.23 |
b Hasan Ali 10.5 OUT! KABOOM! The breakthrough-bowler has done it! That one stayed low but Hasan won't mind. He lands it on a length outside off, Dickwella goes for a loose drive with the bat away from his body. He gets an inside edge onto his back pad in attempting the shot as the ball goes on to rattle the middle stump. Hasan Ali is pumped and why wouldn't he be. He has now also equaled Liam Plunkett and Rashid Khan as the highest wicket-taker in 2017 in ODIs. 59/1

Upul Tharanga C | 61 | 80 | 5 | 0 | 76.25 |
c Fakhar Zaman b Shadab Khan 27.4 OUT! Tharanga holes out! Shorter in length by Shadab, Upul goes for the pull but gets a top edge. The ball flies safely into the hands of Zaman at deep square leg. Two for Khan and he is again among the wickets. A disappointing end to Tharanga's innings which promised a lot more. 112/3

Dinesh Chandimal | 19 | 49 | 1 | 0 | 38.77 |
lbw b Shadab Khan 25.1 OUT! Shadab has his man! Bowls another googly around off and middle, Chandimal prods forward to defend but is hit on his pads. The players appeal and the umpire rules it out. Chandimal is not sure of the inside edge and hence has a word with his partner before taking the review. No edge confirmed by the Ultra Edge. Ball Tracker shows three reds and hence Chandimal has to go back. He has been dismissed by Shadab Khan's googly twice in as many games. His poor run in ODIs continue, his SR of 38 does not help his side either. Both sides have now lost their reviews. 102/2

Chamara Kapugedera | 18 | 30 | 2 | 0 | 60 |
c & b Hasan Ali 33.4 OUT! Hasan Ali is now the leading wicket-taker in 2017 in ODIs! A soft dismissal to be honest! He lands it on a length around off, the ball sticks into the surface and comes in after pitching, Kapugedera tries to flick but is early into the shot. He gets a leading edge which lobs back to the bowler who takes it easily. Ali gets his second and Sri Lanka are losing their way. Replays show that Kapugedera hit the ball twice. Once when he attempted the shot and next when the ball was going up in the air, he lobbed off the toe end of the bat. 137/4
| |||||
Lahiru Thirimanne | 28 | 45 | 0 | 0 | 62.22 |
c Sarfraz Ahmed b Mohammad Hafeez 42.4 OUT! What an unfortunate way to get out! Thirimanne will be rueing his luck. Hafeez bowls an arm ball on off, Thirimanne goes for the drive and gets an inside edge which goes to Sarfraz who takes it. The Pakistan players appeal, Babar Azam is very interested and he wanted the umpires to take it upstairs and the umpires do so. Replays show it is not a bump ball and it has gone off the boot to the keeper and out is what flashes on the big screen. Thirimanne cannot believe his luck. 162/7
| |||||
Milinda Siriwardana | 2 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 50 |
c Fakhar Zaman b Junaid Khan 34.4 OUT! Another one bites the dust! Another failure for Siriwardana! A poor shot by him. Junaid bowls it a touch short on off, bends his back on this one. Bounces a touch more. Siriwardana goes for the pull but gets a top edge which lobs towards Zaman at mid-wicket who pedals back and takes a nice catch. 140/5
| |||||
Jeffrey Vandersay | 4 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
c Sarfraz Ahmed b Hasan Ali 35.4 OUT! Hasan strikes again! Shorter in length outside off, Vandersay looks to pull but gets hurried into it. The ball takes the top edge and goes towards short fine leg. Ahmed calls for it, gets under it and pouches it safely. Third wicket for Hasan Ali and Sri Lanka sink further. Last five overs have seen Sri Lanka lose 3 wickets for just 14 runs. 141/6

Thisara Perera | 38 | 37 | 5 | 0 | 102.70 |
run out (Rumman Raees) 48.2 OUT! Perera has been run out in an attempt to retain strike. A very full delivery on middle, Perera drives it towards long on. He completes one and then goes for the second. Raees himself runs behind the ball, gets to it quickly and fires a throw to Sarfraz who collects the ball and whips the bails off in a flash. They appeal and the umpire refers it upstairs. Replays show that Perera is short of his crease. A good cameo by him comes to an end. SRI LANKA HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 208! 208/10
| |||||
Akila Dananjaya | 1 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 50 |
c Sarfraz Ahmed b Hasan Ali 43.1 OUT! Hasan Ali has a four-fer! He is also the fastest Pakistan bowler to reach 50 ODI wickets beating Waqar Younis! Joint-fourth highest overall to the milestone. Coming to the ball, Ali comes from around the wicket and lands it on a length around off, shapes away after pitching. Dananjaya tries to defend but gets an outside edge to the keeper. 163/8
| |||||
Dushmantha Chameera | 10 | 12 | 1 | 0 | 83.33 |
c Sarfraz Ahmed b Hasan Ali 47.5 OUT! Fifer for Hasan Ali ! Take a bow young man! A brilliant bowling display by him. He takes it on the second last delivery of his spell. His third fifer. He comes steaming in and goes wide of the crease. Bangs it short outside off, gets it to jag back in. Chameera goes for the cut but it was too close for that shot. The ball takes the edge and goes to Sarfraz who makes no mistake. 205/9

c Niroshan Dickwella b Thisara Perera 42 OUT! The centurion departs! He fails to take his team over the line! But what an innings, gets a warm applause from the crowd as he trudges back! Perera bowls a short ball down the leg side, slower in pace. Imam tries to help it on its way with a pull shot but the lack of pace on the ball brings his downfall. He gloves one to the keeper who takes the catch easily. No celebration from them As Pakistan require half a dozen more to win. 203/3
| |||||
Fakhar Zaman | 29 | 40 | 2 | 1 | 72.5 |
st Niroshan Dickwella b Jeffrey Vandersay 16.5 OUT! Jeffrey Vandersay draws first blood! A hope for Sri Lanka? Vandersay bowls a googly outside off, Zaman comes down the track and tries to go big but misses the ball completely. Dickwella collects it and takes the bails off. Fakhar was very short of his crease. A good partnership comes to an end. He has provided the start Pakistan wanted. 78/1
| |||||
Babar Azam | 30 | 39 | 1 | 0 | 76.92 |
b Lahiru Gamage 29.1 OUT! Babar Azam plays it on! Gamage comes from over the wicket and bowls a length delivery a touch wide outside off. Azam tries to go for the expansive drive away from the body but gets an inside edge which goes on the bounce to disturb the stumps. Not an ideal shot to play on a slow surface. So, Babar Azam's dream run in the UAE comes to an end as he departs for a cheap score today. Pakistan need another 65 runs to win. 144/2
