That's it from us then. Join us again for the 4th ODI at the same venue on Friday. Until then, good bye and take care.
Faf du Plessis is the Man of the Match for his knock of 55 runs.
Imran Tahir was simply magnificent as he routed the batting order again. Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel provided tremendous support to Tahir and never let Pakistan off the hook. The relentless pressure paid off and South Africa have their noses in front along with a much-needed momentum for the rest of the series.
South Africa take a 2-1 lead in the series after a fairly convincing win today. Chasing a pretty solid total of 260 runs, Pakistan got off to a flier with both the openers firing in all cylinders. But like so many times in the past, they threw it away and once both Hafeez and Shehzad fell, it was as if they had thrown in the towel. They lost wickets in a bunch and the writing soon appeared on the wall. The tail did put up a fight as Wahab Riaz and Sohail Tanvir put up a late fight back, but it was all too little too late as the batting woes continued to haunt Pakistan.
