Dwayne Smith is adjudged the Man of the Match for his scintillating knock. Says that there was no pressure and he just wanted to go out and do his job. Adds that the wicket got a lot easier in the second innings. Also says that it was a good performance altogether and is glad to reach the final. Praises Trinidad for putting up a good fight.
Dwayne Smith and Sachin Tendulkar were too hot to handle for the Trinidadian bowlers and these two set the chase perfectly. Added 90 for the opening wicket and that took the pressure off the middle-order. Sunil Narine spun his web around the MI batsmen, who were completely at sea against him, but he lacked support from the other end.
An easy victory in the end for Mumbai! They were chasing a tricky total but the openers laid a strong platform and after that Mumbai never looked back. Trinidad were a bowler short but still fought bravely and Sunil Narine, the magician, was once again brilliant.

He ups his pace and bowls it at 101 kph, full and on middle, a carrom ball, Sharma plays all over it, fails to read it and attempts to flick it across the line. It sneaks through his defense and goes on to rattle the stumps. The umpire checks it upstairs for the front foot no-ball but the replays show that Narine's front foot was just behind the popping crease. 16 needed off 14 balls!
