It has been a sapping day's cricket and Ireland have edged out Scotland at the last minute. These two will face off once again on Sunday. Scotland have one more chance to try and qualify to the 2015 World Cup. Can they beat Ireland? Find out by joining us. Till then, cheers and goodbye!
Scotland bowled exceptionally well to dismiss the Irish top and middle order. But they lost steam when it came to cleaning out the tail. The fielding slid down a couple of standards as Haq dropped Sorensen, which ultimately proved costly. Ireland who have already qualified will be relieved with this victory as they are the strongest of the Associate teams.
This has been a nail-biting game. It never seemed like it would go Ireland's way after they lost six wickets inside 33 runs in the middle overs. But, they stuck at it and the tailenders somehow managed to take the side over the line, defying Scotland who looked good for the win today. Scotland's attempt to get a World Cup berth has become even more harder now with one game remaining against Ireland in two days' time.
