So that's it from us! It was a one-sided contest tonight but tomorrow's clash promises to be a cracker as India take on Pakistan! It's one you don't want to miss, folks! It takes place at the same venue, at the same time (1900 IST) tomorrow. Do join us for it. Till then, take care and cheers!
The Bangladeshi skipper, MASHRAFE MORTAZA says they were looking for something around 150. Adds Mahmudullah played well at the end and that was the difference. (On the bowling) Says they have a young seam bowling attack but are performing very well. (On his injury) He says he's alright and will be fine. (On Mustafizur) Says he is very passionate and is performing well. (On the poor batting display) Says they have work to do and will go back in the nets and work on that.
Man of the Match, MAHMUDULLAH says he wanted to get the strike in the last over. Continues saying he wanted more of the strike so that he could go big. Says that if he is sent to bat at No.6-No.7, it means that he is meant to be the finisher for his team as he thinks he can do that very well. Ends by thanking the fans for their support.
The UAE skipper, AMJAD JAVED says they are making a habit of bowling well and batting poorly. Adds they faced an experienced bowling attack and it is tough for their batsmen to play against such quality bowlers, so they will go back, fix the issue and come back hard. Ends by saying India and Pakistan are the big Asian Tigers and that they will try their best to give them a tough fight.
The Bangladeshis though, what a terrific comeback! Having a low total on the board, they needed an excellent start and that's exactly what they did. They went right after the UAE batsmen from the first ball and kept picking up wickets, never letting any batsman settle. Every single bowler bowled amazingly well, with Mustafizur, Mortaza, Shakib and Mahmudullah picking up 2 wickets each and Taskin and Hossain picking up a wicket apiece. It was a stunning bowling performance by the hosts. Stay tuned for the presentation.
So that brings us to the end of a very one-sided encounter. It was an abysmal batting performance from UAE to say the least. It was expected that newbies would do well after a wonderful bowling display in the first innings but they just couldn't capitalize on it. From the offset, none of the batsmen seemed to get going at all. At a point, they lost 7 wickets for just 30 runs. It's a performance they would quickly want to forget.
