Kumar Sangakkara is adjudged the Man of the Match for his brilliant knock. He begins saying he never knew of the record. Says that it is always nice to get some runs, he backs his strengths and knows his game well. Continues that they have not done well with the bat recently but they did well today to build partnerships. Credits Mathews for playing well to get them to a good total. Hopes that the boys continue to put in the hard work and the results will follow. Confesses that he did help Priyanjan play well with a few advices. Calls him a talented guy and one to watch out for in the future. Adds his secret of doing well it doing the basics right and practicing hard in the nets.
Angelo Mathews - Says that he is pleased that the boys have done well. They got a good partnership with Priyanjan and Sangakkara just when they were in some trouble. Confesses that he is enjoying his role so far. Continues, they have a bit more time to acclimatise for the Asia Cup and hopes that they will do well in the Asia Cup as well.
Mushfiqur Rahim - Starts off by saying that the way their batsmen are getting out is disappointing, they get small partnerships but they keep losing wickets to break the momentum. Adds they need to learn quickly, and come back hard. Hopes, they play well in their final match and correct their mistakes.
Sri Lanka earlier in the day, won the toss and put up a really good total thanks to a brilliant ton from Sangakkara. He was given good support with fifties from Priyanjan and Mathews propping them to a winning total. Bangladesh were poor in the field as they yet again bowled poorly dropped many catches.
Sri Lanka win the match and take the series 2-0! A very clinical performance from them. Chasing 290, Bangladesh lost Rahman early but Anamul and Mominul played well adding 55 runs before both were dismissed in quick succession. Shakib was playing well but was out due to rush of blood. The Bangladeshi batsmen then kept going for their shots and threw their wickets away in pursuit of glory. Rahim played really well for his knock of 79 runs but all pass the finish line.
