That's it from us here. Do join us for the coverage of the 2nd ODI on 17th January. Until then, good bye and take care.
Aaron Finch is named the Man of the Match.
In response, the Australian openers just took the match away from England with an array of sublime strokes as Finch and Warner hammered the English bowlers to all parts. The English bowlers looked totally listless and never threatened, Finch completed his century and Australia cruised to a victory. England's confidence must have taken another hit and they need to recuperate as soon as possible and hit back hard in the next match.
A comprehensive victory for Australia and they continue their juggernaut even in the ODIs after the Tests. Opting to bat, England put up a competitive total on the board thanks to half-centuries from Ballance and Morgan and a late burst from Buttler.
