Sachin to retire from ODIs: When?

New Delhi:

There are unconfirmed reports that Sachin Tendulkar will retire from one-day cricket, but that only after the master blaster plays against Australia and Pakistan at home later this season.

Tendulkar, who made 94 against England in the 6th ODI on Wednesday, was apparently about to announce his retirement from ODIs on this tour itself, but was then persuaded by his closest friends to so only at home.

Meanwhile, earlier in the week, in an interview to The Times, Sachin said that he enjoys every moment on the field, but off it, he now takes time to recover between one-day games and thats a major obstacle for him.

"I enjoy every moment I have on a cricket field, but the recovery times between games these days are difficult, especially for One-Day Internationals, and that's my major obstacle," he said.

"It does take its toll on the body. When you are 22 or 23, you recover a lot more quickly. But at 34, it's not so easy."

He said that at 34, age is a factor and now the game is taking its toll on his body.
