An elbow injury sustained during the third Test has seen Sachin Tendulkar out of the 16-member squad for the ODI series in Sri Lanka.

An elbow injury sustained during the third Test has seen Sachin Tendulkar out of the 16-member squad for the ODI series in Sri Lanka.

S Badrnath has been named as his replacement for the series, starting from August 18. Other ODI members have been training at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.

ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh and four other cricketers underwent a fitness and training schedule in the two-day camp. Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli and Praveen Kumar also joined them in the exercise.

Pragyan Ojha expected to join the group this morning, did not do so, camp sources said.

All of them are scheduled to leave for the island nation on Wednesday.
