Sachin Tendulkar has been ruled out of their third match of the DLF Indian Premier League tournament against Kings XI Punjab.

New Delhi:

Yet again here's a piece of disappointing news for the country's cricket lovers. Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar has been ruled out of their third match of the DLF Indian Premier League tournament against Kings XI Punjab. The match is scheduled for today at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.

Sachin Tendulkar, who is nursing his groin injury, has not made his IPL debut and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has been leading the side in his absence. Mumbai Indians have played two matches and so far have failed to register a win.

Their opponent, Kings XI too, have played a couple of matches and have met the similar fate. This makes this encounter crucial as well as interesting, as the winner will open their account in the tournament.

Yuvraj Singh, captain of Kings XI, has admitted of being under pressure and said his side was desperate to win. Sachin's absence certainly gives Yuvraj some reason to smile, but he would want his bowling department to come good against the Harbhajan-led Mumbai Indians.
