India suffered a big jolt with pace spearhead Rudra Pratap Singh being ruled out from taking any further part in the ongoing fourth and final cricket Test against Australia because of a hamstring injury.

The paceman had bowled four overs during the Australian first innings on the second day when he suffered the hamstring pull.

RP Singh was treated for the injury after the day's play and went to the hospital for a scan and other tests to assess the seriousness of the injury.

The news from the Indian dressing room is that RP Singh has suffered a grade one hamstring tear and he would be out of action for two weeks.

The Indians have opted to go into the crucial Test with a five-pronged bowling attack but their move could lose much of its sting with the paceman ruled out of the match now.
