Ranji champions Mumbai to play Hyderabad at home

Reigning Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai will take on Group-B toppers Hyderabad in the five-day semi-finals of the Elite Ranji Trophy cricket.

Mumbai: Reigning Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai will take on Group-B toppers Hyderabad in the five-day semi-finals of the Elite Ranji Trophy (knock-out stage) cricket match at the Wankhede Stadium here from March 14-18. Tamil Nadu finished on top in Group-B while Mumbai topped Group-A. Hyderabad were placed second in Group-B and former champions Railways took the second position n Group-A. "The second semi-finals in Elite division pits Tamil Nadu against Railways to be played at Chennai (according to rotation policy) from March 14-18. While in the Plate division Maharashtra will take on Haryana at Pune from March 14-18. Also Orissa will play Madhya Pradesh at Cuttack in the second semi-finals on the same dates", Cricket Board Joint Secretary Ratnakar Shetty said. (PTI)
