The Indian Vice-Captain lashed out at the media when asked about the racism row saying the whole issue was just over-hyped.

Mumbai:

The touring Australians have returned home asking their fans to show the Indian team respect when their tour down-under starts in December.

The Indians too are keen to put the whole debate of racism in cricket to rest.

Yuvraj Singh was the latest to vent his frustration at a sponsorship event in Mumbai.

The Indian Vice-Captain lashed out at the media when asked about the racism row saying the whole issue was just over-hyped.

"Media are the ones who built up the racial issue. You played up the controversy by spicing up whatever happened. Otherwise this would never have reached such a situation you people have competition amongst yourselves, everyone just wants a good story.

"Now when we go to Australia, obviously home support will be more. But I am against racial abuse. Every player is against it. This should not happen," said Yuvraj.
