New Zealand leg-spinner Amelia Kerr removed Shafali Verma in the 14th over to send India on the backfoot. Wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals and India lost the momentum towards the end.

Indian bowlers picked three wickets inside first 10 overs, including their in-form skipper Sophie Devine, which derailed their run chase.
Maddy Green (24 off 23) and Katey Martin (25 off 28) stitched a crucial 43-run stand for the 4th wicket to keep New Zealand hopes alive.
Amelia Kerr (34 off 19) and Hayley Jensen (11 off 7) scored quickly to give Indian bowlers some nervy moments. Shikha Pandey's brilliant execution of yorkers helped India get across the finish line in a close contest.
