Peshawar:

With the five-match one-day series interestingly poised at 1-1, India's fate in the third match will depend on its much famed batting line-up. Both skippers Sourav Ganguly and Inzamam-ul-Haq realise that the team batting first will have to set up an imposing total. With totals in excess of even 300 proving unsafe, the batsmen will have the onus to carry their team to safety. Bowler's nightmare The series has so far proved to be a bowler's nightmare. The bowlers have got very little assistance from the placid pitches in Karachi and Rawalpindi and the same fate awaits them in the remaining three matches. For the Indians, the absence of in-form seamer Ashish Nehra spells no less than disaster. Though India would announce the final XI on the day of the match, Irfan Pathan is likely to replace Nehra. The form of Indian pace spearhead Zaheer Khan has been a cause of concern for the Indians. He conceded a lot of runs in the first two matches and will have to pull up his socks in the remaining three matches. (PTI)
