Islamabad:

Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board Shaharyar Khan has sought an audience with President Pervez Musharraf next week to discuss "outstanding issues". "Shaharyar obviously wants to discuss some outstanding cricket issues which have been held up as he wants to take approval from the Chief Patron (Musharraf) before implementing the decisions," PCB sources were quoted as saying in a local daily. One of the most important items on Shaharyar's agenda when he meets with Musharraf would be to seek his opinion on whether to advertise for the CEO's post or to get him to instruct Rameez Raja not to do commentary while he is working as Chief Executive in the Board. Shaharyar has insisted that in order to have transparency and democracy in the PCB, he wanted to advertise for all the top posts including that of the Chief Executive. (PTI)
