The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday announced a 16-member squad for the Bangladesh tri-series starting from June 8. Pakistan will play India and the host.

The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday announced a 16-member squad for the Bangladesh tri-series starting from June 8. Pakistan will play India and the host Bangladesh.

The selection commitee headed by Salahuddin Ahmed picked a full-strength team for apparantely on of their most challenging assignment.

After a successful stint in the Indian Premeir Legue, Sohail Tanvir and Umar Gul would be leading the pace attack along with Rao Iftikhar.

Squad: Shoaib Malik (Captain), Salman Butt, Nasir Jamshed, Younus Khan, Mohammad Yousaf, Misbah-ul-Haq (Vice Captain), Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal (Wicket Keeper), Muhammad Asif, Umar Gul, Sohail Tanvir, Rao Iftikhar, Wahab Riaz, Fawad Alam, Bazid Khan, Nomanullah.

Following are reserve players:

Sarfraz Ahmad (WK), Sohail Khan, Mansoor Amjad, Khalid Latif, Abdul Rehman.
