New Delhi:

Mutiah Muralitharan approaching Shane Warne's record of highest number of Test wickets is not all that cricket fans can look forward to.

Amidst the high intensity cricket being played by both Australia and Sri Lanka as they battle it out in the First Test in Brisbane.

Lankan veteran Marvan Atapattu finds himself in the middle of a controversy and could be sent back home if he is found to be in contempt.

This is after Atapattu's outburst at the Lankan selectors, whom he called "a set of muppets, headed by a joker."

Atapattu has had a tough time over the past few years. He was dropped from the national side in 2005.

A ministerial intervention saw him being included in the Lankan squad for the tour of Australia.

Atapattu top scored in the first innings of the ongoing first Test, scoring 51.

The Lankan Board will discuss whether to recall Atapattu or allow him to stay on for the second Test in Hobart next week
