The ICC has not given the ICL or the Indian Cricket League its blessings and therefore the member boards of the ICC don't seem to have any choice either.

New Delhi:

The ICC has not given the ICL or the Indian Cricket League its blessings and therefore the member boards of the ICC don't seem to have any choice either.

The New Zealand Cricket Board, the first to make an announcement, said that there is no question of their releasing any of their contracted players for the Zee TV backed initiative.

Shane Bond, Stephen Fleming and Nathan Astle are among the kiwis who have been linked to the ICL.

The New Zealand players association is however very worried.

They believe that kiwi players will be easy to lure away by the ICL since they can offer far more money than the New Zealand Board.
