Moody not interested in Eng coach's job

Sydney:

Tom Moody's name maybe doing the rounds as Peter Moores' successor but the former Australian player said he is not interested in taking over as England's new cricket coach.

Even though England has named Andrew Strauss as the replacement for Kevin Pietersen, who quit captaincy after a fallout with Moores, the coach's position lies vacant and Moody's name was mentioned as a potential substitute.

"In this day and age you are not going to turn your back on any opportunity, but I'm very happy here in Perth, the family's settled, I've got a great job, enjoying what I'm doing," Moody told reporters.

"I've got no reason to look further afield," he said, adding he had not been approached by the England and Wales Cricket Board yet.

Moody has coached Worcestershire before taking over the reigns of the Sri Lankan team. Despite his successful stint in the island nation, Moody subsequently became the Western Australia coach, a job he continues till date.
