c Mark Wood b Tom Curran 20 OUT! Caught! Wow. A wicket falls at last. After 119 legal deliveries. A length ball, outside off, Zaman reaches out to hit hard but gets a top edge. The ball flies high in the air and Mark Wood runs in from third man. He keeps his eyes on the ball and dives forward to take the catch. The 107-run stand is broken and Fakhar Zaman walks off after doing all the hard work, for 57. 116/1

Babar Azam | 115 | 112 | 13 | 1 | 102.67 |
c Jofra Archer b Tom Curran 39.4 OUT! Curran has the last laugh and an excellent innings from Babar comes to an end. Tom bowls it on a length outside off, taking some pace off it. Babar looks to punch it off the back foot but is early into his shot. It goes uppishly towards deep cover. For a moment, it looked like it will fall short of Archer but Jofra dives in front and takes a good catch. Babar walks off to a standing ovation from the crowd. 249/3

Mohammad Hafeez | 59 | 55 | 2 | 3 | 107.27 |
c sub b Mark Wood 36.4 OUT! Now a wicket! Hafeez departs soon after getting to a half ton. The short ball does the trick for Wood. Timely wicket for England as Hafeez was just looking to step on the gas. It is the bumper and it is outside off. Hafeez looks to drag his pull but due to the pace, he is a touch late into the shot. Ends up hitting it a lot straighter than he would have wanted. It goes straight into the hands of Jordan the substitute at mid on. England are ecstatic after breaking the 104-run stand. 220/2

Shoaib Malik | 41 | 26 | 4 | 0 | 157.69 |
hit wicket b Mark Wood 46.4 OUT! HIT WICKET! A funny dismissal to say the least. Length ball just outside off, Malik was deep inside his crease as he was expecting a yorker but it was a length ball. He looks to slap it down the off side but ends up taking off his stumps with his bat. He will be reminded about this dismissal for a long time to come now. 316/6

Asif Ali | 17 | 12 | 1 | 1 | 141.66 |
c Mark Wood b Jofra Archer 43 OUT! Tremendous catch from Mark Wood! Jofra gets the better of Asif. Jofra bangs it in short and Ali looks to pull but ends up top edging it. The ball goes high in the air but does not get the desired distance. It goes to the left of Mark Wood at deep backward square leg. He keeps his eyes on the ball and takes an excellent catch diving full length. The breeze was not helping his cause but as he kept his eyes on the ball he was able to catch it. A good lesson for any youngster watching it. Wood is absolutely delighted and he flicks the ball back in celebration. Big blow to Pakistan as Asif is known to be a fine hitter in the death overs. 280/4
| |||||
Imad Wasim | 12 | 9 | 1 | 1 | 133.33 |
b Tom Curran 45 OUT! Bowled 'em. End of an eventful over. Good length ball on middle, Imad was looking to go too hard at Curran, he misses his shot and Curran hits. The stumps are disturbed and Tom Curran is a happy man. Imad's cameo comes to an end. 298/5

Hasan Ali | 1 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 50 |
c Joe Denly b Tom Curran 47.2 OUT! Hasan Ali holes out. The slower one does the trick for Curran and he gets his fourth wicket of the match. He has had a good day with the ball. It is slow on full, Hasan looks to go over mid-wicket fence but he does not time it well. Joe Denly takes a good catch in the deep. 319/7

c Sarfaraz Ahmed b Mohammad Hasnain 27.4 OUT! Caught down the leg side. The 19-year old strikes. A short ball, down the leg side, Roy looks to pull but misses. There is a faint noise and the moment Sarfaraz collects, he smiles and puts in a big appeal. Pakistan appeal but Roy walks! A standing ovation for the Surrey batsman. What a knock. Once again, he has set England a wonderful platform. 6 out of his 8 ODI hundreds have come in run chases. Only now, for some consistency. 201/2

James Vince | 43 | 39 | 6 | 0 | 110.25 |
b Mohammad Hasnain 13.3 OUT! Chops it on! Finally a wicket for Pakistan and it has come because of excess pace. Vince backs away to the leg side and Hasnain follows him. The right-hander is cramped for room and looks to defend. Unluckily for him, the ball hits the bottom edge and then goes onto the stumps! The 94-run stand has been broken. 94/1
| |||||
Joe Root | 36 | 41 | 3 | 0 | 87.80 |
c Mohammad Hafeez b Imad Wasim 28.3 OUT! Caught and Root goes too! Massive, massive wicket for Pakistan and they now have two new batsmen in the middle. Tossed up, outside off, Root comes down the track and looks to go over the top, aiming for an inside-out shot. However, he is not to the pitch of the ball and gets a top edge. It goes behind and Mohammad Hafeez runs back from short third man. Sticks out his right hand but it pops out. However, he manages to hold it in the next attempt. 133 needed from 129 balls. 208/3

Jos Buttler C Wk | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
c Mohammad Hasnain b Imad Wasim 28.5 OUT! Buttler goes for a duck! Is the game turning? Full and around leg, in fact a full toss. Buttler looks to play the paddle but the ball hits the back end of the bat and lobs up. Mohammad Hasnain runs to his left from short fine leg, keeps his eyes on the ball and takes a decent catch. Now then, now then, now then... 208/4

Moeen Ali | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
c Fakhar Zaman b Shoaib Malik 30.2 OUT! Another one bites the dust and it's game on! Loopy full ball landing outside off, Moeen kneels down to play the slog sweep but gets a top edge towards mid on. Fakhar runs to his right from mid-wicket, keeps his eyes on the ball and takes a safe catch. England's lower order batting is exposed for the first time in this series. 4 for 15 in the last 17 balls. Great comeback from Pakistan. 216/5
| |||||
Joe Denly | 17 | 21 | 0 | 0 | 80.95 |
c & b Junaid Khan 40 OUT! Junaid has taken a stunner off his own bowling. All those fielding lapses from him will be forgotten if this breakthrough leads to something big for Pakistan. He digs in a short ball, not a slower one this time and Denly is hurried into his pull shot. Ends up playing it off the bottom half of his bat and it flies to the right of the bowler. Junaid reacts quickly and snaps a one-handed catch. He rolls on the ground a couple of times and then is on his knees for celebration. Imad comes and hugs him and Sarfaraz also joins him in showing his joy. The 42-run stand is broken. 83 needed off 60 balls. 258/6
| |||||
Tom Curran | 31 | 30 | 5 | 0 | 103.33 |
b Hasan Ali 47.2 OUT! Timber! Hasan Ali spears in a yorker around leg, Curran moves back to dig it out but it goes off his bat to the stumps. Where were these yorkers before? The 61-run stand is broken but it has more than done the job. 22 needed more for a win. 319/7
