Imran Tahir is adjudged Man of the Match for his excellent spell as he registered a 5-fer! That's all from this game, South Africa have won the only T20I and have kicked off the Kiwi tour on a high. The hosts would be disappointed with the dismal show today and would very well know they have to be on top of their game if they are to compete against the strong Protea side. The action now shifts to Hamilton for the first ODI on Sunday, 19th February, 2017 at 1400 local time (0100 GMT). Do join us to catch all the action. Until then, goodbye and take care. Cheers!
After posting a big total in the first innings, this pitch did not look easy at all as all the South African bowlers extracted good bounce from it making the Kiwi batsmen struggle in the middle. They hardly looked in the game as the Proteas dominated them throughout in all departments. South Africa will be elated with today's performance and would be hoping to continue in the similar manner throughout this tour.
The required run rate kept climbing, the pressure started swelling. Tahir then came into the attack in the ninth over and scripted a different story altogether. He struck twice in his second over as he sent Bruce and Ronchi back off successive balls. Southee had a brief stay where he smacked 20 off 6 balls but soon Tahir sent him packing back. The latter ended with figures of 3.5-0-24-5, his best so far in this format.
South Africa have totally demolished the hosts with a complete all round performance. They were on top from the very first ball as they hardly bowled a loose delivery. Morris struck two wickets in succession in his third over to send the debutant Glenn Phillips and Colin Munro back in the hut. In his short stay at the crease, skipper Williamson struggled to score. Tom Bruce kept hold at one end but eventually was running out of partners.

Imran Tahir To Tim Southee OUT!
OUT! YES HE CAN, YES HE CAN! He's not only got his maiden fifer in T20I but also has turned the match on its head with his fantastic bowling. It's the googly again, Wheeler looks to play across the line, gets beaten and off comes the bail of the off stump. SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY 78 RUNS!

Imran Tahir To Ben Wheeler OUT!
OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Tahir sets off and that means only one thing. Bowls the top spinner, Wheeler shuffles across looking to heave it over the leg side, misses and the ball crashes onto the stumps. Now then, he's got four wickets, can he dismiss one more batsman for a five-wicket haul?

OUT! Tahir gets his man! Tossed up outside off, he goes again for a biggie but this time on the off side. But unfortunately he miscues it high in the air towards sweeper cover. Duminy comes in a couple of steps and takes a good catch to see the back of de Grandhomme. South Africa need 2 more wickets to win the game.

OUT! Wickets are pouring in and South Africa is all smiles. Length ball, outside off, Santner tries to push it through covers but ends up hitting it towards Amla, who takes a catch diving ahead. Santner has to walk back, ABD has certainly enjoyed this catch and shares that so with Amla.
