Right then, that is all we have from this high-scoring thriller! It will be Kolkata going up against Punjab on Friday, April 1. That game will begin at 7.30 pm IST (2.00 pm GMT). Our coverage, as you know, will begin in advance. So do join us for the same. Till then, goodbye and cheers!
Evin Lewis is the  PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says the wicket is a very good one and he wanted to capitalize and he did so. States it was a good wicket to bat on and he backed his skills and he tried to hit through the line. Mentions Badoni is a very confident guy and he has a lot of talent and if he keeps it simple, he is going to reach far. Adds, it is always good to be scoring runs and he just tries to score runs and make his team proud.
KL Rahul, the skipper of Lucknow, says Bishnoi was really good, he has a big heart and he is always ready for a fight and for the way he bowled and got them back into the game, speaks volumes. Credits the scout for Badoni and from the first day he has been batting really well. States you give yourself an over or two and then if you get going, it settles your nerve and then it is about putting pressure on the bowlers and the right-hand left-hand combination at the top helps. Adds they had a word with Lewis about him batting at number three and they feel he will be a lot more useful against spinners and it is good to see his form.
Time for the presentation...
Quinton de Kock is down for a chat. He says that it is good to win these close games and it is good for the morale. Adds that they thought they can chase down the target but they needed to bat well. Tells that it was a par score and it was a good effort from them. Mentions that it was good to bat in the middle and the pitch was good and all the batters played well. Applauds the skipper, Rahul for his knock. Tells that when you are chasing around 210 it was always going to be a close game and it was bit nervy but says that it was a great effort from boys to pull it off.
Ravindra Jadeja, the skipper of Chennai, says that they had a good start and Dube and Robin Uthappa played well but adds that they should have taken their chances in the field. Tells that there was a bit of dew and the ball did not stick around and they need to practice with the wet ball. Mentions that they batted well but need to execute better with the ball.
Time for some interviews!
It was always going to be difficult for Chennai to defend this total as the wicket was extremely flat and there was so much of dew. Still though they got themselves into a good position to win it courtesy really good overs from Dwaine Pretorius and Dwayne Bravo! However, the over from Dube is what took the game away. Difficult for Dube too who bowled his first over of the game in the 19th. He went for 25 runs and that killed the game there itself.
It was a combined batting effort though from Lucknow, first it was Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul who got them off to a really good start. The two added 99 but then there were two wickets in quick succession. Quinton de Kock also fell shortly after getting to his half ton. Lucknow then fell behind in the gap but then Evin Lewis along with Hooda first and then Ayush Badoni took their side over the line. Hooda and Badoni played handy cameos whereas, Lewis scored a brilliant half ton to round off an excellent chase.
An outstanding victory for Lucknow! What a talent Ayush Badoni is and what a knock there by Evin Lewis, there were questions about him being sent below Pandey but this is why they did so, he played the role of a finisher and has passed with flying colors. Yet another score over 200 chased and Lucknow have managed to bag their first win in the Indian T20 League.

That's it! What an incredible chase this has been! Mukesh Choudhary lands on a length, around off. Ayush Badoni goes deep in his crease and hits it to deep mid-wicket. The ball goes in the air and falls away from Jadeja there. A single taken. Lucknow open their account in the Indian T20 League! They win by six wickets!

SIX! BANG! This over has probably won the game for Lucknow. We mean, they should win it from here, 9 needed. Right in the slot again, full and on off, this is lofted down the ground and over the long off fence.

Shivam Dube To Evin Lewis
FOUR MORE! Just the 15 needed now in 7 balls. Right in the slot yet again, fuller and on middle, Lewis smacks it over the bowler's head for a boundary. Game in favor of Lucknow now.

FOUR! 19 needed in 8 now! Once again this is right in the slot! Full and outside off, this is drilled through covers, no chance for anyone. Still two balls to go.

Two more! Outside off, a yorker, this is jammed through point for two. This is now a free hit for Badoni. By free hit we mean, he can swing hard and look for a boundary.
