Right then, West Indies qualify for the final with this win. That means only one out of Bangladesh and Ireland can come in. Ireland will hope for Bangladesh to lose both their remaining games, one of which is against Ireland themselves. The next game though is West Indies versus Bangladesh on the 13th of May, Monday at 1045 local (0945 GMT) where the former will be looking for revenge for the earlier loss in the series. If Bangladesh win that one, Ireland will be out of reckoning. Do join for us that one then. Till then, it is goodbye from us. Cheers!
Victorious West Indies skipper, Jason Holder says that it is a very good victory. Credits Sunil Ambris and all the other batsmen who supported him. Tells that he was happy to bowl first but in the end, it was one of those wickets where one had to see how it plays. He mentions that they want to keep improving every game and that it was really nice to see the boys chase a daunting target of 300-plus which gives them confidence going ahead.
Ireland skipper, William Porterfield says that it is a tough loss. He feels that the wicket was slightly tricky to start with and praises his batsmen who batted well. He reckons that the pitch slowed up a bit and bowling became tough and that the total just wasn't enough. Showers praise on Andy Balbirnie saying he is world class and that he has been in great form, and it is great for him and the side. Signs off by telling it was a good game of cricket.
Sunil Ambris is the Man of the Match. He says that he is very, very happy to have won the game for his side and tells that he is very lucky to have got the opportunity to bat in that spot (opening). Reckons the pitch was a really nice one to bat on. Signs off by saying that this kind of batting performance definitely spurs one on.
Well about the bowling of Ireland, not much can be said. It was always going to be tough to bowl on this surface and that was exactly what happened. They got carted all around the field by Ambris and co. and in the end, failed desperately in the attempt to defend 327. Rankin did get 3 wickets but was very expensive just like the others who did not look like having too much of an impact. All this meant that West Indies recorded their highest ever run-chase in ODIS! Stay tuned for the presentation.
Chasing 328, the away side needed a good start and that is what they got scoring 73 runs in the Powerplay. Hope did not last too long post that but almost every batsman who came in contributed. Sunil Ambris though took the opportunity by the scruff of the neck and ensured he made it count. An incredible 148 off just 126 balls along with significant knocks from others meant that the boys from the Caribbean got over the line with ease.
This has been a brilliantly engineered chase. West Indies have coasted to victory and go to the top of the table after 3 games played. They also confirm a place in the final with this win. Credit to a brilliant hundred by Sunil Ambris. He totally guided the chase and the rest played around him.

Boyd Rankin To Jonathan Carter
FOUR! That is it! It is all over here for Ireland! A superlative chase from the West Indies. THEY WIN BY 5 WICKETS with 13 balls to spare! Coming to the winning shot, it was not too convincing but no one cares. A length ball outside off, Carter looks to cut but gets an outside edge that goes just wide of the keeper's reach for a boundary. Celebrations in the West Indies' camp.
Fabian Allen is the new batsman in but he will not be on strike as the batsmen crossed ends when the catch was taken.

Boyd Rankin To Jason Holder OUT!
OUT! Oh no, what an anti-climax. Holder goes for the grandstand finish but ends up holing out. A length ball outside off, Jason looks to clear the long off boundary with a lofted shot but fails to time the ball as well as he would have liked it. The ball ends in the hands of Porterfield. Ireland live another ball.

FOUR! A short delivery which has been pulled away ferociously. The ball has crossed the ropes in a canter. Four runs have been signalled by the umpire. What a shot. Just 1 needed now.

Boyd Rankin To Jason Holder
SIX! Holder seems to be in a hurry to end this game. A length ball outside off, Jason lofts it over long off. High and handsome over the boundary ropes for a maximum. The umpire raises his arms in the air to signal a six.

FOUR! A desperate effort in the deep but the ball has gone to the boundary. A fuller slower ball on the pads, Carter sweeps this aerially through backward square leg. The ball goes to the right of O'Brien who tries to keep it in but can't do so.

Has he kept that inside? A valiant effort from Kevin O'Brien at long on. A flighted ball from Dockrell on middle, Carter hits it to the right of long on where the big, burly guy runs and stops the ball but not fully. He manages to pull back the rolling ball back in just in time. Saves 3 runs for his team as the batsmen have only run one. 300 comes up for West Indies!

Short of a length, jammed away to deep cover for a couple of runs. Dockrell runs to the ball to keep it in but fails to stop 2. 13 runs off this over, probably the game-deciding one. Just 31 needed now in 30 balls.
