So that is it from this game! Cricketing action from the World Cup does not end though as there is another game lined-up. The Windies will be taking on Pakistan and that will begin shortly. Till then, take care and goodbye!
England skipper, Heather Knight, says the partnership between Sciver and her was the key and it was nice to put up a decent score on the board. States the fielding and the bowling was also decent today and it was a clinical performance. Ends by saying every game is a must-win game and they are looking forward to it.
Thailand skipper, Sornnarin Tippoch says it was a challenging game, they tried to do their best on the field. States they are trying to improve and they will work hard on their power hitting.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH, Heather Knight, says she feels great and it was important to play well here. Mentions she had fun out there and it went well. Also adds the key was to stay calm, keep it simple and put away the balls which were there to be hit. Ends by saying the wicket was a slightly two paced but still a good wicket.
England on the other hand were decent with their bowling. Shrubsole was the pick, Sciver and Ecclestone also did a decent job. Overall a good game for them to bag their first points of this World Cup.
A convincing win for England! To be honest, after their batting effort led by their skipper who scored a massive ton and her 169-run stand with Sciver, it was always going to be a huge task for Thailand and they have fell well short. Chantam though was the best batter for them. However, no other batter managed to show some fight.
