That concluded the formalities from this game. Punjab have another win and with this, they move to the top of the table. Delhi suffer yet another loss and are really staring down the barrel. They need a string under their belts and they need it fast. Done with this, we move on to the next. Tomorrow, Mumbai play Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium, at 2000 local (1430 GMT). Join in for that. Cheers, people!
Ankit Rajpoot receives the Man of the Match Award. His outstanding spell at the start of the innings was vital in Punjab stifling Delhi in the run chase, thereby gaining the upper hand in their subsequent victory.
Shreyas Iyer was the only one who kept the fight going and is the sole reason for taking the game to the last ball. Delhi lost 3 wickets in the Powerplay and the pressure mounted right from there. Except for the Iyer-Tewatia partnership consisting of 47, none of the others were of note. If even one other batsman had dug in and stayed with Iyer, things might have turned out differently. The host suffer another loss, this time in their own den.
The Ravichandran Ashwin-led side has another win under its belt. Defended yet another total, one which wasn't too big, with class. The batting had been winning them games till now. It was underwhelming tonight, but the bowling department came to the rescue. With just 143 on the board, the visitors needed a big performance with the ball and the entire unit stood up. Barring the skipper, who was economical himself, everyone chipped in with the wickets and kept it relatively tight as well.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman To Shreyas Iyer OUT!
OUT! Iyer departs! Heartbreak for the young man. He tries to clear long off after going deep in his crease. Slaps it over extra cover and Finch out in the deep moves to his left and takes it comfortably. PUNJAB WIN BY 4 RUNS!

4
Mujeeb Ur Rahman To Shreyas Iyer
FOUR! It's all going down the wire. Iyer picks up a boundary. This is superb. Short ball, Iyer walks down the track and pulls it fine past the diving short fine leg fielder for a boundary. 5 needed off the last ball. Biggie to win, a boundary means a Super Over. What do we have in store for us?
19.4
2
Mujeeb Ur Rahman To Shreyas Iyer
Fuller on the stumps, Shreyas swings across the line and lofts it over mid-wicket. Both batsmen run hard and they are able to take the second run with some aid from the fielder in the deep who misfields.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman To Shreyas Iyer
Dot ball. Iyer slaps this down towards long off, but the execution isn't perfect. Iyer wants to keep strike. Doesn't run.

6
Mujeeb Ur Rahman To Shreyas Iyer
SIX! 8th Indian T20 League fifty for Shreyas Iyer! He's keeping his side in the hunt here. It's short and flat, hammered downtown, over long off for a maximum. 11 off 4 needed.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman To Shreyas Iyer
Short and flat, spinning in, Iyer looks to pull but gets it off the pads towards short fine leg.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman to bowl the final over. 16 to defend.

Barinder Sran To Amit Mishra
Excellent over from Barinder Sran. Just 4 runs from it. Switches to around the wicket and fires it wide outside off. Mishra jumps out of the crease to loft it over the off side but misses.

1
Barinder Sran To Shreyas Iyer
Driven down the ground, towards mid on for a brisk run.

1
Barinder Sran To Amit Mishra
Idea was right by Mishra, but the execution wasn't quite right. Slower one from Sran, on a length outside off, Mishra moves across the stick to play the scoop shot, but can only get it as far as Rahul behind. Iyer rushes to the other end and completes the single.
18.3
1
Barinder Sran To Shreyas Iyer
Doesn't get all of it, falls just short of Aaron Finch at deep mid-wicket. Iyer heaves this shortish delivery to the Aussie on one bounce and brings Mishra on strike.
Amit Mishra strides out to the center.

W
Barinder Sran To Liam Plunkett OUT!
OUT! Plan working so far. 20 required from 10. Sran doing quite well here. Plunkett skips down the track and lofts this over the infield over square leg. Doesn't get the distance on it and it's taken by Karun Nair out in the deep after moving to his right.

1
Barinder Sran To Shreyas Iyer
Just behind a length on off, skidding off the deck a bit, Iyer off the inner half pulls it through mid-wicket for one.
Liam Plunkett is the next man in.

Andrew Tye To Rahul Tewatia OUT!
OUT! Tye finishes it off with a wicket and figures of 4-0-25-2. Breaks a vital partnership of 47. Fuller and slower outside off, Tewatia gets low to slog sweep and gets a feather behind which Rahul takes with ease. Delhi need 21 to win off 12 balls.

1
Andrew Tye To Shreyas Iyer
Fuller outside off, driven through covers for a run.

2
Andrew Tye To Shreyas Iyer
What's happening here? Don't know which side is under pressure. Iyer makes room and squeezes the full ball to point and takes off. Yuvraj throws it at the bowler's end unnecessarily and misses his shy. This allows the batsmen to take another one. Now, there is another shy at the non-striker's end, it misses, but this time there is someone backing up well.
17.3
1
Andrew Tye To Rahul Tewatia
Flicks it away to deep mid-wicket. One run added to the scoreboard.

Andrew Tye To Rahul Tewatia
Wide! Fired full outside off, too far out and it's called as a wide. Tye argues with the umpire, but the umpire isn't going to change his mind. Walk on back, Andrew. Time to reload.

1
Andrew Tye To Shreyas Iyer
Fuller on off, Iyer doesn't time his loft well. Down to Finch at long off, on the bounce, for a single.

Andrew Tye To Rahul Tewatia
Short ball, Tewatia swings and gets a top edge down to third man for a run.

That ball has taken the inside edge of the batsman and thudded into his pads. One run added to the total.

2
Barinder Sran To Rahul Tewatia
All happening here! Tewatia slaps this ball wide of long off and both batsmen come back for the second. There is a throw which comes in on the bowler's end, but Sran fumbles. Had he collected it, Iyer would have been gone.
16.4
4
Barinder Sran To Rahul Tewatia
FOUR! Tewatia is an underrated player. He showed it last season, is showing it again now. He leans across to this full ball and sweeps it through backward square leg. Picked his spot perfectly and executed the shot to perfection.
