So that's it from us. Hope you enjoyed our coverage of this match. But don't go anywhere as England take on Sri Lanka at 1930 IST in Delhi at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. Do join us for that.
The New Zealand skipper, KANE WILLIAMSON says Mustafizur is a brilliant bowler and that his slower delivery is amazing in the sense in how he shields it. States that they have had to travel a lot but the boys have been fantastic and are ready to face any kind of conditions and challenges. Mentions they knew Bangladesh would be a tough challenge and that the bowlers did well again today. They have world class bowlers and the conditions are conducive to the spinners so it always helps. Says they will look to go to Delhi and do the same. (On winning the World Cup) Says that every team looks to win whatever tournament they play in. Ends saying that this format is a very unpredictable one and that they will try to do their best.
The Bangladesh skipper, MASHRAFE MORTAZA says he thinks the batters made it very difficult. He felt they gave 10-15 runs more than they would have liked to so that must have played on their minds. Also says there are a lot of positive to take, Mustafizur being one of them. States that he has two kinds of deliveries, the cutter, which he bowls well even in the nets. Ends saying that New Zealand is a very tough side to face as they have proved throughout the tournament.
Player of the Match, KANE WILLIAMSON says it was a pretty tough surface. Adds it kept a bit low and it got tougher as the game went on. Also says it was a good batting effort all around, everybody played little cameos and it was important. (On the moment when he got hit in the arm) Chuckles and says it would have probably gone for a boundary but it happens, he's fine. (On Southee and Boult getting to the team) Says it's tough and that they have to look at the opposition and plan accordingly.
New Zealand were once again right on the money. They were decent with the bat but their bowlers were superb today. They were on the front foot from the off and they never let that change. Picking wickets at regular intervals, they literally bowled Bangladesh all out. Grant Elliott was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets for just 12 runs. Sodhi took 3 wickets as well and was brilliant again. They were supported extremely well by their comrades. It was a clinical performance to say the least.
A very, very disappointing performance here by the Bangla Tigers! One would have expected them to put up a better fight than that but the Kiwi bowlers were just too good for them. None of them ever really got into it and they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Not a single batsman did anything notable. They scored their lowest ever total in T20Is.
