While the IPL still has uncertainty written all over it, the Bangalore Royal Challengers ended any surrounding talks of a new captain.

English firebrand Kevin Pietersen has replaced Rahul Dravid as the new man in charge and South African Jacques Kallis will be the stand in skipper.

Announcing the decision, team owner Dr Vijay Mallya said, "Kevin Pietersen replaces Dravid as captain of Bangalore Royal Challengers."

He also rubbished the reports that Rahul Dravid had problems playing under Kevin Pietersen.

"Bangalore Royal Challengers team was not properly balanced last year but we will perform much better this time," he said.

Speaking on the uncertainty surrounding the IPL tournament, Mallya said, "Both elections and IPL are important and we will have to accept the government's decision."

He also said that there is uncertainty over Dravid's availability for all games.
