New Zealand beat Bangladesh by six wickets at Eden Park on Wednesday in the opening one-day cricket international of a three-match series.

New Zealand beat Bangladesh by six wickets at Eden Park on Wednesday in the opening one-day cricket international of a three-match series.

Bangladesh, sent in to bat first, were all out for 201 in the 47th over. Skipper Mohammad Ashraful top scored with 70 and Tamim Iqbal made 50.

New Zealand reached the required 202, for the loss of four wickets, in the 43rd over with opener Jamie How making 92.
