Kerala announces cash award for Uthappa

Kerala government has announced an award of Rs three lakh to Robin Uthappa, who was part of the Indian cricket team that won the ICC Twenty/20 World Cup.

Kerala government has announced an award of Rs three lakh to Robin Uthappa, who was part of the Indian cricket team that won the ICC Twenty/20 World Cup.

State Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan has already decided to award Rs Five lakh for pace bowler S Sreesanth, who hails from Kerala.

Though Uthappa's family was settled in Bangalore, his mother hails from Kozhikode in Kerala.
