Jayawardene dropped, Dilshan to lead T20 side against India

Tillakaratne Dilshan will lead Sri Lanka in the one-off Twenty20 match against India after the selectors decided to drop regular skipper Mahela Jayawardene and his deputy Kumar Sangakkara.

Chamara Kapugedera has been named Dilshan's deputy in the 15-member squad for the February 10 tie.

Pacemen Lasith Malinga, having recovered from a knee injury, returned to the side.

Muttiah Muralitharan, Ajantha Mendis and Nuwan Kulasekara have been rested.

Sri Lanka squad: Tillakaratne Dilshan (captain), Sanath Jayasuriya, Jehan Mubarak, Chamara Kapugedera, Chamara Silva, Indika de Saram, Lasith Malinga, Dilhara Fernando, Farveez Maharoof, Kaushal Weeraratne, Malinga Bandara, Jeevantha Kulatunga, Dilhara Lokuhettige, Mahela Udawatte, Thilan Thushara.
