The Sri Lankan opener is the first to feature in 400 games, that milestone coming up for him in the second one dayer against England at Dambulla.

The Sri Lankan opener is the first to feature in 400 games, that milestone coming up for him in the second one dayer against England at Dambulla.

Tendulkar incidentally is the only active international player to have made his debut before Jayasuriya but just by a few months in 1989.

The matara marauder as he's called has more than 12,000 runs to his name and more than 300 wickets.
