Ishant struck by crowd

Colombo:

Play was held up for around 10 minutes midway in the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka here on Saturday after visiting fast bowler Ishant Sharma was apparently hit by a small missile thrown by the spectators.

Ishant was fielding at the outfield at that time and he informed the umpire.

The Indians were not happy and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen complaining at the two umpires -- Brian Jerling and Gamini Silva.

South African Jerling picked up a nut from the outfield which presumably struck Ishant.

The giant screen at the Premadasa Stadium though reminded the spectators not to indulge in unruly behaviour.
