c Mark Adair b Simi Singh 36.1 OUT! TAKEN! Stop the press, Ireland have finally brokenthrough! De Kock's superb innings comes to an end! A welcome wicket and that too the one they needed, he was taking the game away. Singh bowls this shorter and on middle, a lot slower. De Kock goes back and looks to pull. He does not get all of it and it is also the longer part of the ground. Adair in the deep stands just in front of the fence at deep square leg, he is literally on his toes because he did not have enough space to keep his heel down. Takes it but then starts to lose his balance, throws it back in and takes it again. They check but the catch is clean. Can the hosts build on this now? 225/1
| |||||
Rassie van der Dussen | 30 | 28 | 2 | 0 | 107.14 |
c Harry Tector b Craig Young 45.5 OUT! In the air and gone. Much-needed wicket this for Ireland. Was a full ball outside off stump, Rassie looks to go over long on, but hits it straight to the long on fielder who takes an easy catch. Maybe had he tried to hit that straight, he would have got a maximum but he looked to drag it and hence, did not get the distance. 306/2
| |||||
Heinrich Klaasen | 3 | 4 | 0 | 0 | 75 |
c Lorcan Tucker b Josh Little 47 OUT! Full and wide outside off, Klaasen goes for the big one, but gets an edge and the keeper makes no mistake! A wicket very well-deserved for Little. Can they end well?. 311/3
| |||||
Andile Phehlukwayo | 6 | 5 | 1 | 0 | 120 |
b Josh Little 48.4 OUT! Cleaned him up! Yorker length ball and Andile Phehlukwayo is bamboozled by this fuller length delivery and he has to depart. He swings but it is a little too quick and it hits the stumps. 331/4

Paul Stirling | 11 | 13 | 2 | 0 | 84.61 |
c Janneman Malan b Keshav Maharaj 3 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! That is a beauty of a catch and a lovely delivery by Maharaj! The big wicket of Stirling has been takee. Not the start Ireland wanted but the perfect one for the visitors. The little bit of turn does the trick! This lands on off and then spins away. Stirling pushes at it with hard hands, ahead of his body. The ball goes off the outside edge and the man at first slip takes a good catch. 12/1
| |||||
Andy Balbirnie C | 7 | 14 | 1 | 0 | 50 |
c Janneman Malan b Keshav Maharaj 5 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! The centurion departs early this time. Maharaj gets his revenge. Another beautifuly delivery. Slows it up, lands it behind a driving length on off. Balbirnie like Stirling pushes at it with hard hands, it turns away, goes off the outside edge and it is taken by the first slip fielder again. Ireland in big trouble. 19/2
| |||||
Andy McBrine | 9 | 10 | 2 | 0 | 90 |
c Quinton de Kock b Lizaad Williams 7.1 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Lizaad strikes on his first ball in his ODI debut! What a start for him. It is shortish and just outside off. The batter looks to cut this one, but gets a thick edge and Andy McBrine is caught behind. 27/3
| |||||
Harry Tector | 29 | 34 | 4 | 0 | 85.29 |
lbw b Tabraiz Shamsi 16 OUT! THAT IS PLUMB! So just as the parntership started to look good, South Africa strike. This lands on off and then turns back in. Tector is caught on the crease as he looks to block. He misses to get hit on the pads. An appeal and the finger is raised. He wants to review but it is a little too late. 81/4
| |||||
George Dockrell | 15 | 29 | 0 | 0 | 51.72 |
c Quinton de Kock b Andile Phehlukwayo 16.3 OUT! Good length ball just outside off stump, George Dockrell was in two minds whether to leave or poke and in the end he just pokes at it and is caught behind. Quite a spft dismissal this. 84/5
| |||||
Curtis Campher | 54 | 54 | 5 | 1 | 100 |
c Janneman Malan b Andile Phehlukwayo 36.5 OUT! TAKEN! Campher walks back and end of a superb stand between Simi Singh and him! It never threatened the visitors but it probably might have frustrated them. A short one on middle, one shot too many by Campher. He clears his front leg and looks to pull but it goes off the splice and Malan at mid-wicket takes it. 196/7
| |||||
Lorcan Tucker Wk | 1 | 8 | 0 | 0 | 12.50 |
lbw b Andile Phehlukwayo 19 OUT! It is clipping the leg pole and Tucker is a goner! Another one bites the dust! Tucker walks right across and tires to flick. He misses this ball on middle and it hits the pad. An appeal and the finger is raised. Tucker reviews but it does not save him. 92/6

| |||||
Mark Adair | 15 | 16 | 2 | 0 | 93.75 |
c Kyle Verreynne b Tabraiz Shamsi 41.2 OUT! Short ball on the stumps and Mark Adair mistimes the pull and the ball goes straight to the mid-wicket fielder and he takes it comfortably. Just the two wickets away now are the visitors. 226/8
| |||||
Joshua Little | 2 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 100 |
c Heinrich Klaasen b Tabraiz Shamsi 41.5 OUT! This time Klaasen does not make a mistake and takes a good low catch at long on. Josh Little steps out and lofts it towards long on and mistimes it completely. It was not second time lucky for Little. 229/9
| |||||
Craig Young | 8 | 14 | 0 | 0 | 57.14 |
c Temba Bavuma b Anrich Nortje 47.1 OUT! Hard length ball from Anrich Nortje and Craig Young tries to heave it over the inner circle but gets a top edge, goes high in the air, and captain Bavuma doesn't make any mistake as he completes the catch comfortably at mid off. Finally, South africa have managed to bowl Ireland out. THEY WIN BY 70 RUNS! 276/10
