According to reports, the new IPL schedule has dropped Delhi, Jaipur and Visakhapatnam from the list of venues as the government is not willing to provide security.
However, the organisers have confirmed Kolkata, Mumbai, Chandigarh and Bangalore as match venues.
A day after a meeting between Home Ministry and IPL officials failed to break the deadlock on the schedule which coincides with the general elections, the organisers re-worked the dates for the third time.
Desperate to get the high-profile event on track, the IPL bosses held a series of meetings since Monday to tweak the schedule which has now taken into account the reservations and security constraints of the states hosting the matches.
Earlier, the Home Ministry had told the organisers that cosmetic changes in the fixture would not be acceptable and that they should finalise the dates in consultation with the state governments.
