Chennai: It's the sort of welcome the Indian cricket team seems to be getting accustomed to after overseas tours. There were no fans just mediapersons waiting at the airport to find out what went wrong. But after the loss to Sri Lanka in the finals, there was no question of getting any answers from the players, so it was left to the new coach to do the ducking. But Greg Chappell made no effort to hide his disappointment. "We did the best we could do. It wasn't good enough. Sri Lanka played very well. We could easily have beaten them two out of three games but we didn't. So we have got some things to work on," said Chapell Playing 2 spinners and 5 frontline bowlers in the finals didn't obviously work. But the coach feels that isn't reason enough to revert to the 6:4 combination of batsmen and bowlers. "We tried something but it didn't work the way we wanted. But we will keep trying different things," said Chapell. There's just about enough time for introspection before the men in blue leave for the tri nation series in Zimbabwe later this month.
