Kolkata:

The 15-member Indian cricket team arrived in Dhaka today amidst tight security for a tour, which had come under a cloud because of a death threat by a militant group. The team members were received by top officials of the Bangladesh Cricket Board and were immediately taken to the hotel. The Government had on Tuesday given a partial go-ahead to the tour for the first Test match beginning on Friday. The five-member security delegation will today visit Chittagong, the other venue, to make an assessment of the threat perception there before clearing that segment. India is scheduled to play two Test matches and three one-day internationals during their 22-day tour. (PTI)
