India XI beat World XI by 11 runs in the final of the ICL 20s World Series.

Hyderabad:

India XI won the ICL 20s World Series, beating World XI in the final of the tournament in Hyderabad on Tuesday night.

Despite Damien Martyn's 60, the World team finished 11 runs short of India's score of 148-8 in 20 overs.

Ganapathi Vignesh led the way for the Indians. He stroked 57 from 43 balls, anchoring the innings till the 15th over.

Jamaluddin Syed Mohammed was India's bowling hero. His figures of 4-0-10-1 making the difference in the end.

The World side was on target in terms of run rate. But Jamaluddin's spell slowed them down.

Needing 35 from the last two overs, they managed 24.
