India win practice match

Dambulla:

India have beaten a select Sri Lankan XI team by 93 runs in their second and final practice game before the Indian Oil tri-series. The good news is that M S Dhoni, opening the innings, top scored with 88. But the bad news is that India were bowled out before their allotted overs. However, three wickets from Irfan Pathan and two each from Ashish Nehra and Virender Sehwag gave them a convincing win. The match, played on the outskirts of Dambulla, featured a few former Lankan Test players like Lanka de Silva and Jehan Mubarak.
