The Indian Under 19 cricket team have won their first match against Australia's Under 19 team by 4 wickets in Cuttack's Barabati stadium today.

Cuttack: The Indian Under 19 cricket team have won their first match against Australia's Under 19 team by 4 wickets in Cuttack's Barabati stadium today. The stars for India were vice captain Dinesh Kartik who remained 59 not out and Sunny Singh with 55 runs. Earlier, the Australians had been bowled out for 205 in 47 overs. Abhishek Sharma was the pick of the Indian bowlers with his 3 for 42. Today's match was the first of three matches the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has organised before the Under-19 ICC World Cup 2004 scheduled to be held in Bangladesh.
