India set to play 5 ODIs against Lanka

New Delhi:

India will play five One-Day Internationals and one Twenty20 match against the hosts during their tour of island nation this month, the Sri Lankan cricket board announced on Thursday.

The tour begins on January 26 and the first one-dayer will be played on January 28.

The series will conclude with a Twenty20 match on February 10.

Earlier, the BCCI officials met the SLC officials on Tuesday to discuss the itinerary of the much-speculated one-day series. The series was scheduled after India cancelled its January-February tour of Pakistan in the wake of the terror attacks in Mumbai.

The Lankans will play a three-match ODI series in Pakistan before returning to face India and then going back to complete their tour of Pakistan.
