India's Senior team has to chase 387 for victory in the four day practice game against India A. India A declared their second innings at 297 for five after centuries from Mohammad Kaif and D S Jhadav. Kaif is hoping for a Test recall. However, ace off-spinner Harbhajan Singh went wicketless for the seniors in the second innings. India Seniors, who were bowled out for just 213 in the first innings, will have to do a lot better to win this game on Friday. Meanwhile, the national selectors are meeting in Bangalore on Tuesday to announce the team for the first Test beginning on October 6.
